Present for First Time Moms August 11, 2010 Autumn I have given this a present to first time moms several times, and it is always a hit! I actually have them contacting me asking where I got it to send to their friends. Great buy!
Love it!!! March 20, 2010 Mare (Chicago, IL United States) My husband and I loved this day by day calendar. It let us read a little about what was happening each day with out having to flip pages in a book!
Perfect for 1st Time Parents! January 5, 2010 S. Kirsten (Woodland, CA) I love this calendar for a couple reasons:
(1) It's a good way to keep track of what week you're in and how many days you have left until your due date
(2) Most of the daily entries are helpful (particularly the weight/length/growth ones). There are a few entries that are completely useless (particularly near the end when baby has all its essential organs and is just growing) but it's still a nice reminder that baby is coming soon
(3) It's a way for my husband to feel involved. We read the entries together and it helps him get an idea of what is going on with baby.
I definitely recommend that you go through the calendar as soon as you get it and write the dates on each page, since we sometimes skip a day or two and need to read multiple at one time. A couple friends have gotten this for the grandparents-to-be and recommend this as a great gift so that the grandparents also feel involved in the process.
disappointed December 13, 2009 C. Ethen (New Brighton, MN United States) Perhaps as a first time pregnancy I was a little TOO involved in reading about embryonic or childhood development (my husband and doctor would probably agree wholeheartedly!) but the trivia that was supposed to be really interesting in the countdown calendar was generally information that I'd already read previously except for the comparison of the baby's size to kitchen items (for example produce, etc.). I found the book "What's going on in there? How the Brain and Mind Develop in the first five years of Life" to be a MUCH more interesting, although it is not progressive like a calendar (today this happens...).
A great product! June 9, 2009 Michelle G (Auburn, CA) I really like this calendar. I'm about 10 weeks pregnant now and I really enjoy reading what's going on with my baby every day. I would highly recommend this calendar!
